WHO WE ARE!!!
Hey whats up were 5th street avenue. We are a pop-punk band from San Antonio. If you liked other great pop-punk bands like Blink-182. then youll love us, we dont wanna be them, we just wanna have their style, that original pop-punk, and people love us for that, you should to. We are your average high school guys with big dreams and hopes. We like to goof off alot and make funny songs that have meaning and we like to do stupid things that in the end comes back to us but oh-well, we all love this music and enjoy writing it and have fun doing it. Anyways so we have three members together, Ryan who is our vocalist/guitarist (16) and Ruben who is our bassist (16) and Dave on drums (17). With their in-your-face vocals, punchy rythms, and aggressive chord progressions, 5th Street Avenue is one of the more musically engaging up-and-coming pop-punk bands.
HOW WE MET!!!!
How we met is nothing big, we all met our freshman year in H.S, Ryan had been playing guitar for about 4 years and had just moved to San Antonio from a little town so this was all new, he had been trying to start a band for 2 years but had no luck. moving to S.A. helped, he met Ruben in his P.E class listning to some music, said whats up?what are you listning to? turned out to be both of their fav. bands(blink-182) so them sharing the same musical interest ryan asked if he played an instrument, but no luck, so anyways ryan still went on telling him about wanting to start a band that would basically continue where blink left off, so eventually Ruben bought a guitar and Ryan taught him what he knew and there was the 2 guitarist , a drummer was needed know, Ryan knew a drummer named Stephon that was in a few of his classes, and immediatly wanted in.later on Stephon decided to leave and take on his own path, thats when Mike came in, already wanting in since we started it was perfect, so we though, till more problrms came to point, so once again we were on the search for our 3rd drummer, finally, Dave was found, the 3 were meant to be, writing a few song to lead to thier 1st demo (The Beginning) Then dumping those songs, andwrote a whole new badass set that is leading up to their 1st debut album "lets get naked" - now with thier new amazing songs they hope to go on and do what they do best.
