AFRIGANG Ent.! Get used to hearing the name. An independent label conceived in the mind of multi-talented Rapper/Singer/Songwriter/Producer/Engineer and CEO ICEBERG SLIM. With a vision to make his own music, AfriGang Ent. was born. And the gang is ready to take the crown...warn the KING!
Iceberg has blessed many stages, across the tristate area, with his presence. With a sizable fan-base under his belt, he stuck his head into the world of Production. As a graduate of IAR, one of the countrys most credited audio engineering schools, Iceberg was destined to have a position behind the mixing board. He spent many sleepless nights in
various studios across the city, in an attempt to master his craft. He tweaked every sound to perfection. Whether it was a compressor or some reverb, he knew exactly what was needed. After working with many credible underground artist, Iceberg became the Producer/Engineer.
Sanchez, A&R/Executive Producer of AfriGang Ent., has had his ears to the streets for over 13 years. Coming up in the South Bronx, Sanchez was exposed to raw Hip-Hop. Ironically, he never pursued a career as an artist. His dream was to be the business man behind the scenes. As he works towards his business degree at Baruch College, Sanchez is
learning the ropes as he goes. Sanchez earned his spot as A&R, because he knows
the true meaning of artist development. Whether it be one's swagger or a type of slang, if Hip Hop needs it, he'll spot it from a mile away. Who better to hold such a position than El Sanchez, as Iceberg calls him.
The two met Freshman year of High School, and there was an immediate connection. The Unique sound that AfriGang Ent. brings evolved from digging deep into their roots. Influenced by Nigerian music, Punta(from Guatemala), Pop, Reggae, Rock, Jazz and Old School Hip-Hop. These two Bronx natives are here to reinvent music...THIS IS A MOVEMENT!
