I try to be a great husband first...
A loving, caring but stern father next...
A good son...
A tender sibling...
A dedicated employee...
A very liked, motivating and admired manager...
An ambitious inventor...
And last but not least...a silly fun-loving local boy from the islands savoring life and every single moment of now until I meet my maker.
Did you know...?
- I love classical music and symphonies.Kissing my wife is one of my favorite things.I'm always looking for the next big internet concept.I love training Pokemon probably more than my son does.My adrenaline pumps when danger arises only because part of me secretly wishes I would get into it.I'm an adrenaline junkie.I don't watch sports much but will always root for the underdogs (unless its a home team of sorts).I love to dance.I'll dance like I'm in a dance crew when no one is lookin'.I hate jogging/running but will run all day when playing a game (racquetball, volleyball, etc).I love heavy metal and even hard core death metal.Memory foam beds + high thread count sheets = birthday suit snoozin'I miss going out on dates with just the wife.I love my two little boys.Balut rocks my world! This list is getting too long.
I'm laid back as I am the kind of person that let's the crazyness of the world brew in its own chaos. I'm silly as the kid in me doesn't know that the years have gone by. I'm very sexual like any guy but has a strong need to please. I'm passionate which also makes me a romantic in many things I do, believe in, and love. I'm bizarre probably because I'm daring and trying the weird stuff (food, music, life in general) makes me smile. An lastly, I'm a caring and affectionate man that can be sensitive at times. It is a double-edged sword. Emotions are the realm that most men steer away from. It is a barrier between men and woman. It isn't a weakness to know how to enter that realm, you as a man...just need to know how to return from it!
He's finally here! Jake Makoa Rabara
His middle name translates to "fearless" in Hawaiian.
About my MUSIC mood:
It was a Tuesday morning and I was getting my son ready for school. We bought him a new 23-inch LCD (yeah maybe overkill for a kids room). I hear 50-cent and one of my favorite male pop artist (Justin Timberlake) come on singing "AYO Technology". The sound first of all is tight. I know when songs are immediately an i-pod workout song addition when I start feeling my shoulders pop to the beats and feeling my feet wanna move (yeah I love to dance). So booya! I added it to my myspace profile and here is a video for all who want to experience it. Make sure to "pause" the music in my profile.
Video Review: It is truly a sexy video which is really why I like it. Expensive tastes (nice suits, sporty cars), city night life (reminding me of New York), and TECHNOLOGY . If you don't feel the hook then you don't feel this song..."your hips your thighs you got me hypnotized!" :)
I've been missing Devon as a little boy. With another boy on the way, we get to re-live some of that. Devon himself is anxious to experience a new little baby bro.
This is our last trip to Hawaii. We took some professional studio pictures. Believe it or not, this is a family of four. Devon's little brother is a bun in the oven. You can't even tell since Yvonne is looker exquisitely hot in this picture. Rooaaawwwwr!
My wife is eye candy. After all these years, she still drives me crazy. This HAS to be the longest crush I've ever had on a woman.
My toy . It's fun driving this car. It is a Honda Civic Si 2006. I tinker with this thing and so far the modifications are: Honda Factory Performance Body Kit, Honda Factory Performance 18 inch wheels, OEM fog lights with yellow lamin-x covers, Luminics Krypton Series Yellow daytime running lights, Luminics Krypton Series Titanium Whites Low Beam Lights, White LED license plate lights, Greddy Evo 2 full catback exhause, Injen Cold Air Intake, 5% rear and side rear tints, 30% tail-light tints, and Type-R racing red Honda Emblems.
Is it a civic? My car is debadged of any civic emblems and I always get asked, "What kind of car is that?" ROFLMAO! Presenting, the Honda i-Vtec prototype. :p
My friends in Sacramento are way cool. I've been busy to hang out with em but this pic is at a party with my buddies. I'll get pictures of them up here sooner or later.
Yup that's a cute picture of my son and wife at one of our favorite restaurants "The Sushi King!"
A father's day picture of Devon and I. He's my favorite son. LOL...for now....
That's my dad and I when I was little. He was a great man (R.I.P.). He wasn't a phD and no rocket scientist but he was really smart for someone who didn't go/finish high school. Being from the Phillipines, he worked hard and early. He always taught me one thing: Be strong . This was more than just physical. It was like he would tell me be the strong center in your life and all good things will gravitate to you. He was right!
That's me in Kauai near a hotel's poolside. I wanted to show this pic because through highschool, I worked near poolside at the Hyatt Regency, Ka'anapali, Maui . I was a recreation attendant (pool/beach boy to make it easy). I met many people over those years and still hang onto those fun memories.
Life as an adult began WAY too fast for me. I didn't see that but God did something to my life to balance it out. This is a picture of me after God took me and put my life in balance. I thank him for that.
Yes, Yvonne and I met over the internet. As I finished up school at the University of Hawaii, my old web cam was one of the ways we bridged the long-distance gap! --- old web cam pics ---
Letters to my loves...
To my son, Devon:
A man is as strong as his spirit within. A big heart touches much more than the ones you love. It infects those around you and it even frightens your enemies, for there is much greatness in a lion's heart. To do the right thing in the midst of a lot of wrong displays strength of the heart, mind, and at times...even the body. Honor is to believe in the virtues you hold close to your heart, passed down from generations before, and stand tall next to them, believing in them, maintaining what is good and in turn, passing them to your children. The legacy forever eternal.
- Love always, Daddy
To my wife, Yvonne:
I consider myself a rock in this world, durable and unbreakable. I am always looking past the horizon and smiling in the face of the challenges to come, embracing uncertainty in an attempt to control my fate. My confidence is nothing without you. My strengths are merely intangible thoughts in my mind, but materialize because of you. I am a man that can face anything in life. Without you, I can't imagine the next breath of air . You've always been that last piece in my life's puzzle. You, my love, complete me.
- Love always, Hubby.
What makes me tick:
- Science (I love viewing the world through a scientist's perspective)Sports (playing them mostly, i adore challenges that factor myself into the equation)Honor (I am a " Bushido " fan. "Way of the Warrior")Courage (being the one who steps forward while everyone steps back)Love (without it...i am nothing)Intensity (life to extremes). SPEED, FIGHTING, and just (living, loving, playing HARD).
What ticks me off:
- Driving in the slow lane (yes, i am an adrenaline junkie)Terrorists (there is no honor in their actions)Ignorance (it really isn't bliss)Rudeness (where'd all the respect in the world go?)Cheaters (if the love is gone...talk about it!)Male Chauvinists (where'd all the chivalry go?)
A closed road in Sacramento, here is a video of me playing with my toy. Crappy launch but I wasn't racing that day! :)
