Artist: Dala, Album: ”Miami Sky”, Single: ”Drop a bomb”. Produced by Mårten Sahlin.A cold winter day year 2006 Dala and his musicians went into the retro studio Traxton on Södermälarstrand in Stockholm, Sweden. Three days later and without no major studio technical corrections the recording where completed. The remainder of some minor flaws, splendid musicians and foremost Dalas skilfulness as a songwriter gives the debut album “Miami Sky” nerve and feeling. – Rich on vitamins and beautiful filthy rock has been said to describe the music.Dala has played in many different bands on the Stockholm scene for a long time, mainly as a guitarist and bassist. When he now releases his debut album it is as a solo artist. – I realised that during the years I had written many songs that I really felt for and that I wanted to release. The album is produced by Mårten Sahlin who has worked with many great acts, both swedish and international. The idea Mårten Sahlin and Dala had was to create a record that kept the origin of the livesound and simplicity of the songs. For that purpose Christian Edgrens studio Traxton was chosen to fulfill the demands. The studios old retro equipment contributed to the sound and feeling of honesty. The result is a warm and irresistible. The songs are held together by Dalas personal voice and the lyrics of love, happy and unhappy. – To some extent my lyrics also describe the naivety of man. High pitched expectations that seldom are fulfilled, or the beliefs that everything will get better in the future rather than living now, in the moment.The album was released in February year 2007 and just before this the radio edition of the single ”Drop a bomb”.
