Formed quite by chance following a conversation between Ethan & Andrew in front of a dartboard in May 2006, The Patron Saints diverse musical tastes have melded into what Ballard Lesemann of the Charleston City Paper calls 'Twang Pop'. 95% of the material is original and combines pop, rock, country, and folk into a new take on the alt country genre. Andrew, (vocals, guitar, songwriter) is the former drummer for the hardcore punk band Hercules, Hercules, a band of note in the local area. He's been pulling a Syd Barrett of late, writing songs in the dead of night while painting dogs playing poker images on the ceiling of his bedroom. Ethan (lead guitar, songwriter) is a former country music road dog and session player from NYC/Boston who listens to the Mahavishnu Orchestra in the shower. He also plays in the heavy rock band S'witch, acoustic duo LiteS'witch and rockers The Oasis Band. Ryan (bass & trivia mogul) owned and managed the Map Room in West Ashley and blasts They Might Be Giants every chance he gets. Currently he is the bassist for Hypnosquad. Kyle (drums & daddy-to-be), probably the most eclectic and artistic of the bunch, is a gifted painter and musician. His tastes run the gamut from whale calls set to ambient synth loops to free jazz pop. Sorry girls, he's married. Lynn (vocals) had been singin' n strumin' for many amazing groups over the years until she was unanimously kidnapped in mid '07. She also is one third of the incredible vocal trio Daddy's Girls.
