Huw Costin is a British singer-songwriter known for his emotional vocal style, melancholic lyrics, and a penchant for writing nifty pop songs when the mood takes himAs influenced by the folk, country, and rock of the 60’s and 70’s as the Nottingham ambient scene of the early nineties, and though compared to Big Star and Ian Brown, Costin takes inspiration from a more eclectic body of sounds and players in the creation of his own music.Critically acclaimed for his solo work and work with his bands Manatee and Earth the Californian Love Dream, he is currently remixing his debut LP - Regrets - featured in the NME Yearbook as a top 10 album despite it's white label status and regularly records and performs with The Cold Light Of Day.Full Moon at Christmas Time’ was the first release on Costins’ label Verdant in December 2007“A near monosyllabic Costin referencing how it “ Seems this year is getting old”, over razor sharp guitars that pick with the precision of a needle in the arm.
