After working at the Emporium Nightclub Charlie’s progression into dance music was a natural one. From when he purchased his first pair of decks at 17 Charlie had already been inspired from the DJs he had saw week in, week out. Influences range from Morillo, Sanchez, MYNC Project to Tim Deluxe, X press 2 and many more.
Charlie has been with Hed Kandi since the summer ‘05 where he was hand picked by Hed Kandi to be Ibiza resident. With this amazing opportunity Charlie set out to stamp his own unique sound within the Hed Kandi brand and has thus become one of the most inventive and popular DJs on the Kandi Circuit.
To date Charlie has completed two successful residences for Hed Kandi in Ibiza and had the chance to play at some of the most recognised venues across the globe including, El Divno Ibiza, Pacha London, Gatecrasher Sheffield to name a few. In his own words:
'Being able to play for Hed Kandi has opened up so many doors and opportunities enabling me to express my sound across the globe. The unique thing about working for Hed Kandi is the family atmosphere and how the music can vary from each gig. Sometimes it’s a more soulful gig and sometimes its full on hands in the air madness which is what makes it so special as each gig is different.'
Charlie Edwards is certainly an up and coming talent and still being the tender age of 21 and the youngest DJ on the Kandi roster the future looks more than bright for one of the most inventive DJs around.
