I’m in my thirties, I have a professional job and am confident without being cocky (unless I’m trying to be funny). I’ve lived in a few different places (Romania, Boston, San Diego) and have a very open mind and many interests. I view the gym as a necessity, not my second home. I prefer playing sports and games: soccer, rock climbing, hiking, running, Krav Maga, volleyball, surfing, tennis, rollerblading.
When going out I can just as easily go hiking, horseback riding or surfing…or go to a Broadway play, comedy club or hang at home and rent a movie. I also love NYC. It’s my oasis. Nothing beats a nice day in Central Park or the Village. I am obsessed with sushi and Thai food, but I can always go for a good slice of pizza as well. I also recently tried Afghan food and I’d love to find someone to go back there with me.
People also tend to connect through their taste in movies and music. With movies I tend to lean towards independent, smaller studio films, that have some fun plots and good acting. But I’m also a guy, so sci-fi and action movies are definitely still in. I recently saw Mission Impossible 3 and really dug it.
As for music, I listen to just about anything I can get my hands on. I have a collection of about 500 albums…everything from lots of rock, blues, techno and some rap. Right now I’m really into Royksop. Got their new live album and it's awesome. Flaming Lips is always great. For years have listened to lots of rock so I'll always love that...Pink Floyd being my favorite. I also get into some classic rap (as “classic†as any rap song can be); stuff like Snoop or Dr. Dre. I’m also very excited I recently figured out how to hook up my iPod through my car. Concerts and live music (bars/clubs) are also a big part of my life. I’ve recently discovered Bar 55 in NYC…excellent jazz and blues. Over the last ten years I’ve seen quite a few concerts: Aerosmith, BB King, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, David Bowie, Tool etc.
I’d also go into what books I’m into, but we don’t have that kind of space here :)
