About Me

Mannie was born into a musical family, with his father being a local wedding singer for friends and his mother an organist for her church. There was an array of music being played as a background for his childhood at all times, from soul to gospel, pop to rock, and jazz to rap. It was as if he was watching his childhood from a third-persons view, and I was there along for the experience. Born Norris Emanuel Walker, he was introduced to the producing game early on in 1996, at the age 11, by a sibling who was also a fresh face on the music scene. He spent many nights, and countless hours, in a local studio perfecting his craft as a producer. In 1997 (12 years old), he sold his first beat to a local artist and had it featured on their album. "It wasn't that good, but it gave me that taste you know what Im saying," he recalls. "It was only for fun back then." In the summer of 2001, Mannie was introduced to Fruity Loops (today known as FL Studios) by his cousin. On December 13, 2001, Mannie was involved in a near-fatal car accident, which left in a wheel-chair until his second yr in college and home schooled until he graduated high school.Mannie is a new breed of producer, finding unique ways to blend left field synthesizers and real instruments with samples and other exotic sounds. He uses his unbelievably- some may even speculate- raw talent to launch His own movement. His uncanny ear and sense for detail is simply amazing. Picture a sound reminiscent of Timberland, Kanye, and the Neptunes, Now-- picture of them wrapped in one. He affectively adopts these pioneers' trademark sound, along with many of his other countless influences, to create his own defining sound-- while retaining the skills and talent NOT to sound like a clone. To put it simply: He too can make whatever his clients ask of him. "I dont wanna be another Pharrell or Chad (The Neptune duo), Kanye [West] or [Jermaine Dupri], another [Dr.] Dre, or Timbaland, a Scott Storch or a Lil Jon, R. Kelly or Quincy [Jones]. I wanna be mentioned by another up and coming producer in the future." In 2008, Emanuel "Mannie Beatz" Walker became head producer and Owner of Platinum Pedigree Productions. Currently, Mannie is attending AIU, where he is developing own studio.
