I like to tell stories. Sometimes they are true, sometimes they are embellished for dramatic effect. Usually they're funny. Occasionally they are not. As a children's librarian I spend many hours a week telling stories during storytime and even more hours reassuring people that there children really ARE special beautiful butterflies. That's a big, fat story.
I am interested in eating. Well, interested may be a stretch, but I do it alot. I blame other people.
I talk on the phone to excess.
I'd like to meet:
Michael Trucco...of course. But what girl wouldn't? I would like to thank my sponsors Voss and Lou for introducing us.

My IPod's name is Freddie. HE was sick for a few days, and I was frantic.
There's a nasty rumor going around that I'm obsessed with Justin Timberlake. This is weird. He's not cute and he sings like a girl. But I do find him strangely fascinating. Hmmm.
Movies:
"Everything is Illuminated." BRILLIANT. But I really love "Aliens" and have seen it more times than I feel it would be appropriate to admit. I force people to watch "Almost Famous" and "Playing By Heart."
Television:
If you call me during Lost or Battlestar Galactica I will answer and say something rude and then hang up. So don't do that!!! I remember watching TV and enjoying Sex and the City, Night Gallery, Amazing Race, House, Mystery Science Theater 3000, X-Files, 24, Survivor.Really, my TV has been sitting idle for ages. it probably misses me. Maybe I should wave at it when i come in the door and throw my coat over it.
Books:
It's a trade-secret, but librarians don't read. Serious. Ok, not serious. I read all the time, but it's usually children's books. And I usually read them to my boyfriend. He's twisted, so he likes it.
Garth Nix, Neil Gaiman, Patricia Cornwell, Maurice Sendak, Okay, really I prefer books with pictures. And I have a page limit. I loose interest after about page 170. David McCullough, David Sedaris, Philip Pullman, Terri Windling, Rosemary Wells, Jack Gantos, Orson Scott Card, Stephen Ambrose, Sandman comics, Malcolm Gladwell, Harry Potter, Libba Bray, books about Robin Hood or King Arthur, Calvin and Hobbes, Annie Dillard, Walter Dean Myers, and especially Robert Cormier. I like kids books and nonfiction about religion, politics, and society. I check out an enormous number of books every week, and never ever get them all read.
Heroes:
Bono, Alan Alda, Harry Chapin, Bill Watterson, Dan Rather...anyone who sees the world as filled with possibility and promise. And Doyne. And my brother for getting into MED SCHOOL!!!! and working his ass off to excel there :)
