Music is ..1, ..2, and ..3 on my lists of interests. Listening to music, playing music, checking out live music, writing music....I love it all.I'm an avid reader, and I'll read damn near anything.I'm a gaming freak, and I love playing all kinds of games on my Playstation (and yes, I am 33, and screw you if you think that's too old to play games).
Oh, there are so many people on this list....Maynard Keenan, Flea, The Brothers Johnson (that's too old school for most of you), Les Claypool, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush (just so I can look him in the eye and say "Dude! C'mon, you can't be this stupid."), Denzel Washington, Chris Rock, Prince, Stu Hamm, countless others.
Ahhhhhhhhh....music. I mostly listen to alternative, hard rock, metal, rap, funk, jazz, and R&B. I've been known to involuntarily dance to some pop songs, although I'll deny any conscious involvement, and when I'm super drunk, I'll sing country karaoke. On a desert island, if I had only one genre to listen to, it would be jazz, but I'd be writing some kick-ass hard rock tunes to pass the time. Music is king. I'm also in a band called NONEtheLESS - check us out here on MySpace, baby!
I'll just list ones I really dig, in no particular order: Boondock Saints, Resevoir Dogs, The Usual Suspects, Memento, Friday, Big Trouble in Little China, The Killer, Hard Boiled (great flick), The Matrix (but not the other two), Any M. Night Shamaylan movie, Any Kevin Smith movie
I'm a geek, TV-wise. I like all the Law and Order shows, anything with "Stargate" in the title, all original series on FX (The Sheid, Nip/Tuck...), The Amazing Race (guilty pleasure), CSI (but not the other two), Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, Justice League, The Simpsons, The Family Guy, and all things History Channel. As I said, I'm a geek. I didn't even mention the music channels. God, I'm more dorkified than I thought.
Just read two really good books, both by Dan Brown. "The Da Vinci Code" is the one everyone knows, but "Angels and Demons" is also a good read. I'm currently reading "The Bourne Legacy", the 3rd book in that series, and also a book about the Holy Grail and the Knights Templar and other things that popped up in Brown's books. I'm also a huge fan of the Dune series (all 12 books or so). Check 'em out.
Heroes. This is a toughie. My heroes are ordinary people that encounter obstacles, and manage to overcome them through perserverance. My mom is one of my heroes. I'll add others as I think of 'em.
