About Me

Hmmm... this seems harder then I thought, writing about myself... but here it goes: I was born and raised in New Jersey, growing up with a rather simple, yet simultaneously crazy life. I became involved in competitive gymnastics at an early age then transitioned to the 'normal' sports that kids do as they are growing up like soccer, and baseball (though I was never very good). And in high school, swimming, wrestling, and martial arts. At the age of nine I realized I wanted to play guitar as I watched my brothers band practice in the basement of our house for hours on end. Unfortunately, or not, I was forced to learn the organ (of all things)since we already had one in the house. Clearly, I was pissed, but I had no choice in the matter so I bit my teeth for a year and learned the damn thing. Then, before embarking on learning the guitar, I had an epiphany... maybe I should start with four strings instead of six I thought to myself. So I asked for a bass guitar and played it like a regular guitar. It seemed like a logical way to start at the time. A year later, I had my first guitar and the rest is history. I studied guitar and music theory throughout highschool, and at Berklee College during the summer between my junior and senior year of HS. After graduating, I moved onto to attend Berklee College of Music fulltime in the Professional Music program. My studies ranged from music composition, commercial arranging, theory & analysis, performance (guitar), piano, as well as the legal aspects of the music industry. Additionally, I continued my studies at Berklee in 2005 as part of their extened education program, studying Music Publishing.
I am a lover of both jazz and blues, especially when blended together; however I do like and listen to most all styled of music. I have a passion to play and write music, and am very grateful for having the ability to express my emotions through music - it is truly a gift. I believe that there is a creative flame that burns with in each and everyone of us... and it's there for a reason. It needs to be cherished, nurtured, and embraced...
I'm consider myself to be an honest, down-to-earth, and straight forward. I am very career-driven person with a high work ethic; someone who sees no limits on what life has to offer, or the possibilities and opportunities life presents to each of us. I think the key to happiness to to uncover the very essence of what makes you happy. Easier said then done; MUCH easier. I believe in the magic of thinking big (which is a great book by the way) - if we can't think big, then we walk forward in life with limitations that we've already set for ourselves.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My main objective is to meet and network with people and businesses who are part of the Artistic & Creative Community. With that said, what is art without those who admire and appreciate it? The answer is, not all that it could be... and certainly not what it should be! So if you're a FAN of the arts, a lover of music, or you're just the average Joe or jane looking for something new, then you are every bit important as the Artistic & Creative Community itself. After all... you're our audience!

Quotes

"Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it’s cracked up to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it... It really is worth fighting for, being brave...
