Our story begins in the year 2000, on a balmy September night in Gainesville, Florida. There was a wild and crazy party. With free liquor and stuff, and a jazz band on the porch. As they sipped their drinks, Sarah Zachrich and Andrea Harrell had no idea that a musical meeting of minds was fixin' to take place.
After the band got too sloshed to play any more, a revolving impromptu jam session began. First one drunk guy would play the drums while another drunk guy played guitar and a guy who was completely wasted sang. Then another drunk guy would play... you get the idea. Andrea was eventually convinced to play some of her songs, and since everyone else was too damn drunk, Sarah figured "what the hell?" and sat down behind the drum kit.
Despite never having played together before and being really out of practice, it was as if a light shone down from heaven (or maybe it was just the sun coming up). After playing until they realized they were too drunk, our heroines got into a discussion about the lack of good chick bands in town. Hey... maybe they should start one...!
They recruited a bassist, started practicing, and called themselves The Slip. Four years, three bass players and a name change later (turns out they weren't the only Slip in the world), the band now known as Two Finger Suicide have carved out a spot as one of Gainesville's best bands, and they're ready to venture a bit farther afield and take on the USA... the eastern third of the country, at least. Two Finger Suicide's plans for the next year include touring the east coast and midwest and recording a full-length album.
