I am what I now call a hybrid...I was born in Parma, Ohio, but I grew up in Ventura, California. I then spent some time in Los Angeles and Orange County, and I now, as of July of 2007, find myself back in Ohio, not too far from where my life's journey began. I always felt I was too Ohio for California...and, I just might be too California for Ohio, but we shall see.
I was a total band geek in high school. Don't judge me. I was in drumline in high school, and continued after high school until I was 22. I absolutely loved it, and it breaks my heart that I am too old to continue. Some say I wasted 4 years of my life, and a lot of money. But to me, those are the memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life, and they were worth every second.
I really want to start taking some classes. I always told myself that I would make something out of my life. So far, I haven't taken those first few steps. Perhaps it's fear of failure. It's time to face that fear, and hit that community college at full stride.
I really like Sushi. If anyone who reads this in the Brunswick area knows of a good sushi place, I beg you to tell me. Good sushi is like a party in my mouth, but the kind of party that only super awesome people go to. Bad sushi is like the weird kid at school who somehow found out about the party, and showed up uninvited. No one likes the weird kid. He usually smells funny and tells bad jokes.
I like sports. I have been a Browns fan my whole life, which was rough in California. They never understood. I like to play poker. I enjoy bowling, and shooting pool. That doesn't mean I am any good at it, but I enjoy it. I like meeting new people, and contacting old friends. I like going to the beach to think, but I hate sand. The ocean was a great place for some meditation and reflection, and I'm not sure if Lake Erie will do the same, but I hope for the best...
