So, maybe I want to look cheap

About Me

I've haven't seen enough, or lived enough! I'm back on the east side and looking forward to new experiences. I love my job, although the thought of living in the same place for more than a year or two is a bit scary.

My Interests

I want to laugh more and worry less. I am interested in City Planning - the way that we've developed, and the way that the built environment effects how people interact with one another. I also like to sew - not well - but enough to put a personal touch on some of my wardrobe. Painting is fun - not that I do it well. I like to explore - and find new places on streets I've never been down before. Going out, of course, to listen to good music, dance or just be with friends. - Snowboarding is fun, and I'm much better at it than skateboarding, maybe because falling doesn't hurt as much?? I'm also thinking of taking up boxing. Other than that i'm good with having a glass of wine now and then.

Music:

Many different types of music, artisits, etc. Currently I can't stop listening to rap, namely... *Sage Francis* Atmosphere* Talib Kweli* Aesop Rock*. During other moods: *Damian Marley* Tegan and Sara* Soul Coughing* Slightly Stoopid* The Butchies* Tilt* Kanye West* Billy Bragg* Le Tigre* The Who* Red Hot Chili Peppers*John Frusciante* The Slits* Blondie*Zion I*.... etc.

Movies:

I'm often scoffed at because I can't stand "stupid humor" movies. I'm no critic but some of my fav's are - *Welcome to the Dollhouse* American History X* Dazed and Confused*Office Space*Boyz N' the Hood*Back to the Future * Taxi Driver* Sid and Nancy * Hedwig and the Angry Inch* and, *Garden State* for now....

Television:

HBO... Love it... *Curb Your Enthusiasm* Da Ali G Show* Real Time w/ Bill Maher* .... then there's your *What Not to Wear* , random History Channel documentaries, "City Confidential" (Damn that narrator has an intense voice), and VH1 count down shows that can really get ya for the long hall.

Books:

I'm always reading two or three books at the same time - I've enjoyed...*The Secret of Life - Wurtzel*The Buddha of Suburbia - Kureishi* The Death and Life of Great American Cities - Jacobs*Tearing Down the Streets - Ferrell * The Seat of the Soul - Zukav * No Logo - Klien* Dharma Bums and On The Road - Kerouac*

Heroes:

This needs time for contemplation...
