well- if anything- then music. then of course putting thoughts into words, dancing (all kinds but in particular the ones that are connected to shimmies, hipcircles and hipdrops), good films, all kinds of visual art and design, books, anthropology, art deco, belle epoque, japanese insense, retail therapy, photoshopping, plants, balance, using the right hemisphere when the left half of brain is overstrained...
a few selected kindred spirits! "santa nicoletta" was opened for people i know, like or would like to get to know better. if you have that sort of intension as well - please introduce yourself and exchange a few emails before sending a friend request. if not - i will most likely ignore the request and deny it after a while! if you actually wish to promote your band or institution (which is fine for me) - do me the favour and add my other profile nini baseema (click here) instead. thanks! :-)
music is about the only thing that goes straight to the heart (or the feet) without letting the brain work too hard. i love it no matter what style it is or what lifestyle is connected to it... isn't it awesome that we will never stop discovering mindblowing new songs?
i like lots of stuff and i am open to almost every genre unless its senseless splatter or movies with too much blood in it. that's just not my thing. a well staged dilemma on the other hand will always attract my attention. i also have a thing for well adapted period dramas and literature films!
oh well- everybody complains about it in myspace and they all say- they stopped watching a long time ago, tv is the devil, etc... i have my coming out at this point: i do like television and i even like commercial spots. tv is a conveniently passive medium- to just consume makes a nice change after a long day in the office, apart from that - what kind of person critizizes a nanny that has always been there for them? i have manners, folks! :-)
i like good writing style. I even prefer good writing style over cleverly devised stories - although the perfect combination of both certainly does the trick. :-) i also think goethe made a point when he said: "if any man wishes to write in a clear style, let him be first clear in his thoughts; and if any would write in a noble style, let him first possess a noble soul."
If you wish to keep your heroes- make sure you never meet them in person.
