In the early nineties Edwin Oosterwal discovered his passion for
electronic dance music and decided to start playing records himself.
After winning a dj-contest he became a resident at the weekly
Basic Grooves parties at Atak in Enschede. This is where he also
first met Joris Voorn. At the end of the nineties Edwin packed his
record bag and moved to Sydney, Australia and later to New York City.
After living in New York City for five years he returned to Rotterdam
where he met up again with Joris. They start producing music together
under the Rejected moniker and their debut ep on Sound Architecture
Records was a huge success. At the end of 2006 they launched their
own record label called Rejected. The first Rejected release has also
been a massive success. Both tracks on this ep have already been
licensed to several mix-cd's.
Beyond the studio, Joris and Edwin (aka Rejected) have been dj-ing
all over Europe including major events in Holland like Awakenings and Planet Rose. Edwin's style can best be described as a mix of house and techno. He has
played at parties worldwide from New York City to Istanbul, Berlin to Barcelona
and Sydney.
