Kyle & Liam Bashford are 20 years old and are currently living in Blackburn, Lancashire. At the age of 15 they became interested in becoming a cameraman. As they filmed on their mum and dads handy cam they eventually went to Blackburn college to study Media and pursue their dreams of becoming a cameraman. But at the age of 16 they both worked together on a documentary about the World War II and we're chosen to direct it. This was the start of the Bashford Twins Directing career as they now had a goal of becoming successful film directors. At the end of college they both worked on their final major project 'Life of a Magician'. This comical ten minute fly on the wall documentary about an inside view to a magicians everyday life style was filmed in Fuerteventura. This not only got the highest marks for them, but their college tutors were so impressed it was stated as A Level standard.
Knowing that their career was to be directors, in April 2007 they Wrote and Directed their first short film 'The Portrait'. This was originally for the myspace competition My Movie Mashup but unfortunately never got chosen but got noticed by many people around Europe.
In 2008, they have done two short films 'In The Mirror' and '2 Minutes to Live' This was shot with no budget at all and Kyle & Liam stated "These films show film goers around the world that you don't need a huge budget to make a gripping film" Recently they have been busy with many events around the North-West of England filming celebrity events which you can view on their videos page. They have met various celebrities including 'Mini Me' off Austin powers and others from reality shows such as Big Brother, Shipwrecked and even soap stars from Shameless, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.
Kyle & Liam are so determined to become the first ever twin directors to win an oscar and are now planning to direct their first feature film next year which they have written.
