Originaly from New Orleans,Louisiana born Justin Mendoza to Mexican American Father And an African American Mother O.M.A.N.I.'s light began to shine at a young age.An Uptown inner city 9th ward,13th ward and Bank Street were his claims to home.Starting off his jump in success was a deep interest in Poetry,his first love.Surrounded by Drug Dealers,Drug Abusers,Pimps,Alcoholics,and Prostitution opened his eyes to the way of the world at an early age. Hip Hop touched his soul very early with such rappers as Tribe called Quest,Kool Moe Dee,L.L. Cool J.,Rakim and many more.Friends and Family members watched him mimic and saw the boys potential grow as the years went on Jumping on to the Local Mixtape circuits earned him the name in order to push copies around schools, neighborhoods,etc.After a move to Michigan the east coast,Midwest flavor began to mix well with the Southern draw.This began many collaborations and many group connections dropping some the hottest underground track heard by many!The number one group he joined was called the Odyssey on a Detroit Underground and mix tape circuit.They later recieved ample opportunities out of Ohio for multiple city tours and Major Label signings. Things were looking successful opening for such groups as Snoop,Next,Da Brat, to name a few. Afer a minor signing talk with Jive Things were looking up!Things were looking up until the album was shelfed and the group fell apart due to run ins with the law and other unfortunate situations.O.M.A.N.I. moved away from the signing possibilities saying Underground was the way and settled in Des Moines Iowa.He got together with friends made in the city and they put together a group called Diamond Reign,that were successful in opening for Nelly half time college Football shows and many more!Now after moving back to Michigan,O.M.A.N.I. is headed toward a prosperous Dolo project all on his lonesome signing with Global Records opened all kind of doors for the young M.C. Now looking back on days of poverty and struggle are beginning to stay in the past.We at Global are expecting big things in the future!The anticipation of the first quaterly has produced great results from this very versatile singer/songwriter/composer/and Hip Hop artist.
