My biggest heroe is my dad, Jay. He is one of the only men that I have seen get handed alot of lifes ups and downs, it seems when it is the downs it all comes at once for him, as this always seems true for the rest of us as well. The difference is the approch that I have seen my dad take. In the recent years he has lost a person that was a huge part of his heart, soul and all around life. With the tears in his eyes he lifted his chin and told me: "Never forget that no matter what happens always remember God will not hand you more than what you can handle." After a recent injury while on duty, I remeber being a room full of people standing around the emergency room waiting to see if he was ok, and with all of the pain that he was in he said: "Well folks as my father would tell me when I was a young boy... Just think how good its gonna to feel when it stop hurtin'. I would also like to say that my husband is another one of my biggest heros. I know that everyday he leaves to go to work he puts his life on the line so others can remain safe. My thanks goes out to all of the Law Enforcement and emergency personal. I have a lot of heroes and I can not begin to list them all... I am sure the people who are close to me know who are my heroes, and who are not.
