My name is Chip and I’m the editor/publisher of the webzine videocrypt.com . Here we cover mostly (although we sometimes make exceptions) horror films. There are regular news updates, DVD reviews, photos (taken by my friend Bruce Anderson), and lots of links. Originally, Video Crypt was a newsletter/fanzine I began in 1996. I had been in the music industry since 1964 and found that I was no longer enjoying it. I relaxed by writing movie reviews. After a few issues, Video Crypt moved online. As I already mentioned, prior to Video Crypt, I worked in the music business. From 1964-1973 I played in two bands--a surf combo (The Beachcombers) and psych/garage punk band (The Knight Tyme). After that I was a critic, editor/publisher (Record Raves Magazine), freelance A&R man, published songwriter, LP buyer for a record store, record producer, owner of the label Sounds Interesting (we released all styles of music but I’m most proud of our rockabilly LP with the late Cub Koda and garage rock records by The Lyres, The Miracle Workers, The Scruffs, and the Rebel Kind LP, which was one of the first comps of contemporary garage), radio DJ for 13 years, (psychedelic/garage/blues), and GM of a radio station.
