Influences: .................................Meet Charlie Leon Perry II, also known as BeAr!(the name says it all), my little cousin. Whenever I was a child coming up, there were some things that I desired and some things that I really enjoyed doing, versus the things that other people desired or enjoyed doing. This young man, has inspired me at just being no more that 1 yr. old, he loves music; he enjoys singing and playing it. I was sharing my Sunday Best Audition with my aunt and uncle (his parents) and he pointed at the screen and said "LoOk At ChArLiE!", brought tears to my eyes. I thank God for allowing them to have a beautiful son together and a son of whom they love and cherish with their entire being. Most of all, for allowing them to be able to see how much it meant to me, through the strong heart that their YoUnG seed has for it.
Sounds Like: Whenever I was younger I found that people would label me and categorize me with artist who I felf like I never had anything to do with. I found myself competing with people a lot; simply because I didn't know who I was and my importance to the plan and the WILL of GOD for my life. Whenever people placed a title on my ability that had to do with someone else; I found myself having to "LIVE UP TO THAT". BUT SOMEBODY SAY TODAY... TODAY... TODAY, God has placed a wonderful thing in my life, HIS SPIRIT, that lets me know that being me IS OKAY, and it lets me know that I am original. Whenever I sing: I guess you could say that I sound like "ME"! Whenever God gave me the ability to sing, HE did it with the thought of my IDENTITY and HIS WILL in mind. I strive to be all that I can be; BEING ME. I pray that all that I do in the Kingdom of God, that he be pleased with it, because in the end HIS OPINION IS THE ONLY ONE THAT COUNTS, Can I get an "AMEN!"
