Oh Yeah!

About Me

I LOVE YOUR FRIENDS, THEY'RE ALL SO ARTY. OH YEAH!
The idea for the collection was conceived from a photograph by post-modern artist Martin Kippenberger. Taking inspiration from this piece of art, Saint Augustine Academy decided to take the styling of the collection from five modern Art Rock bands: Franz Ferdinand, Hot Hot Heat, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Television on the Radio, and VHS or Beta.
Each band has a capsule inspired and dedicated to them; like an 80's print reflecting the sound of VHS or Beta, Prince of Wales check and subtle pinstripe to represent the vintage style of Television on the Radio, or tartan for Franz Ferdinand's Scottish heritage. The title of the collection was in fact derived from a line in Franz Ferdinand's hit single "Do You Want To?"
This winter collection marks the label's first foray into knitwear, featuring two hooded pieces and a knitted translation of its popular double-breasted cardigan. The limited colour palette is taken right from the very photograph the collection was inspired by: white, black, cement blue, charcoal, and red. Key pieces in the collection include a black sateen blazer with white piping contrast, white stove pipe jeans with a printed panel, a rich brocade tuxedo, and a red tartan trench coat.
