DJ 'DON' Diego Escudero

About Me

Expect serious bottom heavy grooves and funky vibes during Diego's session. "Ear candy" describes his choice in music selections. He takes his audience on an aural journey of vibrant rhythms, wicked basslines, melodic keys altogether with an array of live instruments and soulful vocals, creating a festive atmosphere throughout his set. Diego has mastered the classic signature sound that so passionately moves him. Uplifting garage house.
Diego lives in Miami, Florida, and he has been DJing for more than a decade. He has debuted throughout South Beach's prominent nightclubs. Playing at such venues as Crobar, Nikki Beach Club and the Sunset Soriee at the Raleigh Hotel voted as one of the worlds hot spots to party by Entertainment Weekly. Diego's most recent residency were at Blue, Touch, and Segafredos. Other more interesting highlights include playing for major sponsors like Bacardi, Guess Jeans and Disney as well showcasing alongside notable international dj talent's Marques Wyatt(Deep LA, OM) and John Julius Knight (Soulfuric, Defected UK) during Winter Music Conference events. Diego also experience working in radio where he co-hosted a show called the "HouseXplosion".
Diego knows the music well. He is always up on the latest 12" releases. He doesn't just play stacks of records to gain more favoritism. He entertains and educates the people. He's smooth on mix transitions, even on the most intricate blends, a drive that pulsates, keeping the momentum in the music going.
Diego?s mentor is Tony Humphries, which fueled his desire in art of mixing.
"I can remember listening to Tony as he rocked the airwaves on New York's WRKS 98.7 KISS FM during the early morning hours, playing the latest in cutting edge house music."
Diego's vibe is spiritual, In essence, like Tony he maintains skill and definition.
In closing, Diego is an artist, in the art-of-mixing and foremost in today's sound. He is in the forefront to test a new artist, or a new song on a real audience. As a DJ, producer, and remixer, Diego has the power to sway people from one groove to the next.
