The Christopher Complex

About Me

Ready to take you on an adventure, The Christopher Complex emerges onto the music scene with a sound to take your mind and body on a musical journey. A soulful R&B singer, he uses Funk as his foundation, and borrows styles from other music genres such as dance, pop, rock, jazz from various decades. His lyrical presentation evokes intense emotion while the production of music enhances his feelings onto his listener. He has adopted this spirit from his influences Prince, James Brown, Parliament Funkadelic, The Jacksons, Sly and the Family Stone to name a few, as well as the new greats, DAngelo, Lenny Kravitz and Maxwell.Brooklyn born with Southern roots, The Christopher Complex, not only a singer but also a songwriter, composer and producer, is not afraid to take on the mainstream by writing and playing music that record companies are afraid to release from their artists catalog: music that is out the box. Hes not concerned about following what is the popular sound. He wants to contribute a new vibration to music. "It would be easier to play and sing what everyone else is singing about, but, it doesnt set you apart from the masses. I like to play what I like and just hope that others like it too," he says. The Fall 2006 release of "'Lets Go' features tracks that you can picture as a walking soundtrack which clearly strikes images in your head of romantic escapades," says an admirer of The Christopher Complex. From rhythmic impulses on the dance floor in "Dance With You" to the soulful declaration of love-found in "You're the One Ive Been Looking For (All of My Life)". "Lets Go" is a montage of different experiences conjuring up feelings and imaginations most mainstream music has left out in its creation. "Lets Go" dares you to leave all inhibitions at the door and surrender to a new direction in music. The Christopher Complex insists you join him on his journey, discover new musical avenues and reminisce of days of old on how music used to make you feel. Take a quick get away where you can experience the musics groove, its force of subtle seduction, sensuality, romance, fun, free spirited excitement. Lets go!Take a listen here first of the few tracks that appears on the EP that is available now on CD Baby (see link below).Visit the official website and add yourself to the e-mail list by signing the guestbook.Let the funkin' continue to rock on!!
