Life has a funny way of dealing you weird hands. When you think your luck is down it can either kick you in the head or hand you a wild card. After a few sharp blows to the head over the years I learned to adapt. I also learned that those blows to the head weren't to keep me down, but to make me tough. Because anything worth having doesn't come easy. You have to be able to take a few blows and keep standing in order to be worthy of the wild card. For the first time I am able to stand on my own two feet and take that hit. Its an amazing feeling. Knowing that no matter what life deals you, you can handle it. So I guess the point of this to anyone reading it is- When life kicks you in the head, shake it off. There will be someone standing infront of you with a band-aid and some asprin.For those who I can't keep up with I am going to use this as a update: I am currently working at Delco 911 and have been there for two years now. I am training to be a police dispatcher and loving every min of it. I just completed my first responder course at Essington Fire house so that I can start riding on the ambulance. (Eventually I want to advance my education and go for my EMT and futher to Medic.) I recently became the co-godmother of my 1 year old neice. She and my nephew are my inspirations for life. They show me (along with my sister and brother-in-law) what I want out of my future. Remember the only thing we really have control over is our smiles and cries. ~
