When he was a kid, his cousin Leslie''tutie''Foe(r.i.p.) was a part of one of the most important rap groups to come out of the city...39posse(KLC,Dart,Mushatt,6-shot etc). J.lyric has studied the game in and out and has put out a total of three underground mixtapes, beginning with "Unsigned Hype" in 2004. In 2005, he worked on his first collaboration mixtape with the legendary UNLV and put out one for the most talented mixtapes to date, "God's Plan" which caught the attention of labels nationwide. He has collaborated with some of the best talent in the city of New Orleans including Cracktracks,K-gates,Sess-45,NOMW,Sporty t,Sniper(chopper city),Audiocrack productions and many more. He is currently working on a new mixtape entitled ''Only 4 the Real'' the best is yet to come
