Cut (Cutloose) and D (Sharif D) is a collaborative mix between two like-minded musicians who have come together from their shared love and passion for soul, funk and hip-hop music. The two first started jamming together back in late 2005 when Trent (Cut) joined (the now departed) Cleptophonics which Sharif (D) was already a full time member of. Both drawing from different musical backgrounds the boys integrate their influences and skills into their own productions (both collaborative and solo) and live sets. A usual CutnD set integrates the boys skills as instrumentalists and dance floor maestros fused with spontaneous adlib solos interwoven amongst their usual selections of funk and soul tunes. Moving from the down-tempo, soul drenched tracks to an up front funky, dance floor tip all depends on the atmosphere of the room and the boys mood at the time.
