She began singing at the age of five, and has had a love for music ever since she was given her first solo as a child. Growing up she sang Gospel, R&B, Pop and House music. She continued to expand her vocal ability by singing in a choir and as a leader in a chamber-singing group. She has received All County Music awards and All State Music awards as a result. She was a working student getting her degree in Audio Recording Technology, at Five Towns College, and simultaneously still trying to pursue her dream of becoming a professional singer. After graduating with her Associates Degree, she then moved to Miami and attended Florida International University, taking more to her college career-a dream that her mother always wanted for her. With her music pushed aside because of school and work, she felt as if something was missing. While working at the Miami Niketown, Alonso Morning brought it to Jessicas attention that the void was in fact her passion for music. He heard her voice and was surprised that she wasnt using her gift to pursue her dream. This Puerto Rican singer/songwriter was overheard singing while working at the very same Miami Niketown about a week later by Mr. Cheeks in the year 2000. This discovery led to her meeting and recording the next day with the Marleys. Later that year, she was performing with them at a 50 cent concert. She has performed the national anthem at Alonzo Mornings summer grove in 2001, televised on HBO. Because her time was being spent more in the studio, she lost her daytime job and began working as a door girl on one of South Beachs hottest clubs, meeting all the right people and making connections. Youve heard her voice on Mr. Cheeks Lies, lies, lies and Just Because. She also sang on Trinas Up in the Club, Sauce Moneys Baby Father Drama, and Bristals So Crazy just to name a few. You may have also caught her on the 326-radio promo featured on Power 105.1 Yeah, Yeah. This was just the beginning of her career, as she managed to add a bachelors degree from FIU under her belt before she moved back to New York. She has worked with the Soul Diggaz, Lil Jon, House of Tre, The Heatmakerz, Headspinnaz Ent., and Xavier Aeon. Currently she is working with Top of the Building on her upcoming album. She was definitely at the right place at the right time, but her talent and drive has carried her to where she is today.
