Since it's inception in 97 Evirus has built a loyal following that continues to grow with interest from around the globe. With the release of their self titled three song demo in 99' Evirus began playing local venues creating a buzz and interest in the band's live show which would become an Evirus staple. Knowing what fans expected out of their live show, Evirus took this seriously and began writing and recording their first full-length release "Nocturnal" . Released in 2003 "Nocturnal" quickly began getting airplay on college and university radio connecting them with fans of heavy metal from all over north america. Ready to shred with the best of the local scene in southern Ontario, Evirus would also find themselves opening for bands they grew up listening to and respected. Playing with veterans of heavy metal like Anvil and VoiVod in their hometown. As of late Evirus continue to display their brand of metal to newer fans and bigger crowds opening for such acts as Cryptosy, Misery Index, The Almighty punch drunk and Infernal Majesty.
2006 will not see Evirus slowing down anytime soon with the release of "SERMONIC" the band's second independent release already receiving attention from previews on online radio and garnering label interest. EVIRUS will be out in support of "SERMONIC" throughout 2006, don't miss the show!
