Big Ray R.I.P. We Miss You My Dude

About Me

My name Is AurumGold. I'm an M.C. (Master of Ceremonies) from the Birthplace of Hip-Hop Music, the Bronx, NYC. I Started rapping at age 11 in 1991. I had a general love for the artform mainly the ability to use lyricism and wordplay. It reminded me of rhyme scheme that Edgar Allen Poe or Robert Frost or Langston Hughes used but just at a street level. I Looked up to artists such as Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, Kool G Rap, Lord Finesse, LL Cool J etc. So I thought it would be great to start writing and using my mind to relieve stress and say what I felt through pad and paper. It was ironic to find out that two of my closest cousins were also involved in the artform, but they were DJ's and and producers as well. We then formed Sons of Hardcore Rhythym with another artists named Disaster Calamity. My name at the time was Katastrofee (Catastrophe). I changed my name to Golden Child after a rival had my same name and I lost a War Of Words with him. We then evolved into to the Lost Cauze Conglomerate and picked up more artists from the neighborhood we grew up in. Such as Quick Draw, Clap Cognac, Jumper Kablez, Silent Murder, & Teflon the X-Factor. LCCG (Lost Cauze Crimson Guard) then evolved into the Paper Soldiers Movement. So to make the long story short it is about getting better with progress instead of regress. I am also nicknamed the Boss of Bosses (Capo di tutti Capi) due to my love for mafia films and true crime drama.
