I grew up in Texas. Fifteen years of the south can change you, it's a very different world down there. And then moved up here to the mid-west after my freshman year of high school. Experienced major culture shock because of the differences between them both.After that, I moved around quite a bit, and ended up going to three different high school. Which can be a little tough on the whole "making friends" situation. But I managed to find a few friends who understood my shy nature and liked me because of it. So finally high school was over, and I attended college, while I could afford it, at my parent's old stomping grounds: Concordia.Met some great people, had a few great years, but had to drop out when I couldn't afford to go anymore. Since then I've been working like crazy, trying to pay off my debt so I can someday go back to finish my one year. But I got a good taste of what I want to do if/when I grow up: theatre.Yup, a life of the stage. But I just don't want to be on it. Stick me behind the scenes where all the real action takes place. Let me get that baby up and running flawlessly, that's what gets me off. Ideally I would want to be a scenic designer. Getting the ideas, and watching the set slowly rise out of wood, fabric and metal until that dream is in the "flesh," so to speak. Yeah, that would be cool.Until I can go back, however, I'm just stuck working. Trying to make more money, and paying off that very large debt.My current full-time job is working over-night logistics at Target. It's definitely done some interesting things to my sleep schedule, but it's an interesting job that I enjoy. I'm open, and consider myself to be marginally humorous. I've made it my personal goal to make everyone I know laugh at least once during the time that I know them.
