About Me
Well known as one of the finest chilean djs and one of the pioneers of the electronic dance music in his country. He started out in 1992 when he founded his music magazine Musica Marginal Together with Guillermo Escudero, soon followed by djing at the techno parties in Santiago called Barrakuda. In 1994 he began working at the first record store of electronic dance music, Background Records. In those pioneering years he was involved in various initiatives related to music such as producing his own Amniotik Abstrakt Dance parties and collaborating with radio shows as well as other music magazines.
From the beginnng on his musical taste has been characterized by its deep and elegant tones. Here we find detroit techno, house, electro as well as deep sounds.
During the period 1996-2001 he was resident dj in different clubs in Santiago, among them in the notorious " Encuentro Con La Techno Cultura" organized by Dj Adrian Schopf at disco Planet, Casa Club and Open House, which was the first house and techno club in Chile. Still, his 3 years as a resident in Club La Feria (1998-2001), where he shared the stage with people likeRicardo Villalobos, 'evil' Eddie Richards, Colin Dale, Lukas Rodebush aka EBE, Christian Vogel, Inland Knights, Kevin Yost, Luciano, Dinky,Pier And Andres Bucci,Argenis Brito, Alejandro Vivanco and , are of great value to him.
Marcelo moved to the Netherlands in 2002. Living in Amsterdam he integrated into the local house scene, performing in different venues such as Club Risk, Studio 80, Club 11, Amsterdam Dance Event, Twstd, Vaaghuyzen, Getaway Cafe, Bootleg Cafe in Rotterdam etc, and at the same time he initiated into musical production and his own radio show called "Amniotik Sound" every wednesday in a chilean internet radio station www.rinfm.com. His international appearences include diverse places such as Lima, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Warsaw, Krakow, Berlin and Bahrain.
