About Me

Born in Kent, Ohio and moving shortly after his 10th birthday to Sarasota, Florida, JEFF RETRO, always knew his career of choice was making music. Quickly making money doing odd jobs, working in various record stores and introductory level positions at various radios stations, RETRO put his love for making music to work and in 2000, became co-founder of FORMULA ONE Records.A very ambitious RETRO was determined on making a name for himself and became an On-air personality for WPYO-FM 95.3 PARTY in Orlando. In addition to his duties as an On-Air Personality, RETRO increased his popularity and proved a force to be reckoned with as a Mixer. His Saturday night “LIVE” mix sets at 11 P.M. during the 95.3 Party Saturday Night Mix Factory, became one of Arbitron’s highest rated weekend hours for the station.RETRO held impressive residencies in several of Orlando’s hottest nightspots, ICON, CAIRO, ZINC BAR, and ROXY NIGHTCLUB. Nothing is more flattering than the addition to RETRO’s accolades, a request from JIVE Records to re-mix Justin Timberlakes first single release, “Like I Love You”. Producing re-mixes for AfterDark Records, as a member of the Phatt Heads, RETRO has also worked on re-mixes for Billy Ray Martin, Deborah Cox, B2K, P-Diddy, Heather Headley and Sarai, just to name a few. The Phatt Heads first “music video remix” of B2K’s hit single “Bump, Bump, Bump” debuted on MTV2 in 2003. Responsible for re-mixes of: AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” and Eddie Money’s “Take Me Home Tonight”. Currently RETRO has put his focus into his real estate business, but never fear, his heart is always in music and will make his return to the music industry."
