Joy Voeth

Joy Voeth is a world-class vocalist with a soulful and sophisticated sound. The Barbadian-born songstress spent much of her early life in Germany, where she discovered the experimental sounds of trip hop and electronica. She later moved to the United States and immersed herself in the world of jazz greats such as Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, and Cassandra Wilson. With the remnants of roots reggae from her island home still flowing in her veins, Joy now emerges with her own alchemy of sound.Joy's self-titled debut album journeys into the realm of Alternative Indie, Ambient Pop and Electronic Dance, while calling on musical influences of jazz, reggae and neo-soul. Smooth vocal harmonies over cool grooves and percussive beats. A chill vibe with a bit of a kick to it.
