Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico Luis Oriel Torres, a.k.a Oriel knew at an early age that his inner passion and devotion for music was destined to be a motivational factor in pursuit of his dream to become a successful artist. His mother would write her own music and sing to her young son, giving Oriel a fond appreciation for songwriting and an ear for good music. At the young age of nine Oriel and his family moved from Puerto Rico to Chicago, where he continued to grow an interest in music, so his mother encouraged him to participate in talent shows and school plays where he would then fall in love with performing in front of an audience. After deciding to move to Connecticut, Oriels musical talents have progressed and granted him the opportunity to be showcased throughout Connecticut in various nightclubs, including Club Remix, El Paraiso, Club Roxy White Eagle, Odd Fellas and Sada. The lyrics that Oriel writes himself are credited to the musical influences of Puerto Rican icons Daddy Yankee and Chayanne as well as R&B legends, Jodeci.
