Residing most of his life in the Minneapolis Metropolitan area in Minnesota, Fokiss (Stewart Peters) has been well traveled. Moving in and out of areas like New Jersey, Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Wisconsin, Miami, Atlanta and Tampa, Fokiss has been in and out of a variety of creative environments and has become seasoned with an abundance of culture within the world of music. “When my dear friend Tod Paige (Fokiss's Manager) let me here some of his music I was floored by his lyrical skill. I said, ‘ this brother is out of control’. Then he sent me a picture and I was like, ‘Stop playing… He's white?!’ They came to New York so that we could meet and see what could happen with us in the studio. Well, to say the least I called up my partner and told her to clear my schedule for the next 2 years because this is the future.†– Shaka Adres

The album certainly gives the fan a 360 degree, three dimensional tour through a truly creative mind. “This album is my life on paper. I often say the industry is going to call me the ‘black sheep’ because I’m not hearing them when they speak of rules to music. I just do me.†–Fokiss.

I can’t imagine ever giving anything 99%. If you can’t give it everything you’ve got from the gates to the finish, then don’t enter the race.†–Fokiss.
The album project has been an exciting event to watch from the outside. Shaka Adres, a New York native currently residing in Manhattan, is the creative producer on all of the recordings for the project.
