I live here in the Greater Grand Cities but originally Im from the good old outskirts of Grafon, ND. I went to school at UND but the most exciting news is that In February of 2007 I got what was just going to be a part-time job at Texas RoadHouse where I started off as a server....But needless to say, I worked my ass off from day one & its definitely paid of. It has taken me to a place in my life I never really expected to be at so soon, but Im loving each and every minute of it. I've been given numerous opportunites within the company as far as bartending & management positions go; Just recently I was asked to take my TXRH career to a new level and join my management team full-time. Of course I anxiously accepted! I started all my BOH (back of house aka kitchen) training over a month ago now and let me tell you, its gone freakin phenomenal...I spent 2 weeks in Bismarck where I got to know a few great people and gain insight/knowledge to help me further my depth within TXRH. I came back to GF to finish up the positions in which I still had yet to learn and I can honestly say I LOVE the kitchen!!! Its something that comes so natural to me, something I truly enjoy. Ive impressed some of the prestigious TXRH people, which in knowing makes me proud on my accomplishments thus far.Its a knack that not a lot of people can tackle all at once but I gladly and willingly conquer everything that has been put in front of me with ease. I couldnt ask for a better 'family' than the one I was lucky enough to join at TXRH. For those of you whove kept up w/ my updates, the Colorado trip I was supposed to be taking was cancelled, and instead they'll be sending me back to Bismarck....its a bummer for some of the things I had planned & the experiences I wouldve had but in turn great to know that I'll be able to enjoy the summer here with the other great friends that will be around & home. I will finish up all my MIT training within the next 3-4 weeks...its something Im damn proud of. Where this whole big kid job takes me down the road is something I look forward to going through & cant wait to see what the rest of my future holds. As you can see, its obvious I love my job and most of the people that come along w/ the territory. Ive met some of the greatest people because of it, without a doubt consider them life-long friends..no, more like family! Thats the most recent news I have for you all, I figured now was a good time to share more of the good news once it was all official and set in stone! I BELIEVE: *in myself *in my family and real friends *in fate & karma *in true love *in a soulmate, although that soulmate could just be that one person youre destined to meet as a friend, someone who understands you better than you understand yourself *that everything happens for a reason *that patience is a virtue *that theres a little kid inside all of us but some are just better at being ok with it *that adventure keeps friendship and love alive *that champions are built from character, hardwork, and dedication and not by how many games, trophies or medals they've won *that absence makes the heart grow fonder *that no matter what you can always go home *that the stars are a way to find yourself and that when you look to the stars for things theres someone somwehre else doing the exact same thing *that friends come and go but your true friends are always there no matter the distance and time spent away from each other *in luck and superstition *in the afterlife *in mother nature *faith and beliefs *music describes how a person feels and views life *that in the end everything will be ok...and if its not ok then its not the end. *that with every new experience you find a part of you that you never knew existed and that if you're happy with yourself then thats all that matters because we're here to live life the way we want to and for ourselves, not for anybody else.I MISS: *home back in the countryside *vacations *high school sports *old friends Ive lost touch with *how easy life was when we were younger *all the good times that used to be had around here and last but certainly not least *Butch & Rhody, my grandparents *Isaac Patrick, my best friend, my brother..may you all Rest In Peace.
