Mustard Harvy

The foundations for Mustard Harvy were formed high in the hills under the dark shadow of Mt Macedon in central Vic. The Band spent their days in pristine surroundings looking down upon an ever growing Melbourne city skyline writing material. With acoustic guitar driven melodies and tight rhythm section they deliver passionate and powerful songs, exceeding the usual sonic threshold for an acoustic guitar led three piece. Their inspiration is drawn from artists like Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Bruce Springsteen right through to bands such as At The Drive In, Incubus, The Mars Volta, A perfect Circle and Tool; in short, they are influenced by any form of music with honest creative emotion. Their earlier dated songs take a more structured approach with meaningful lyrical content and catchy groves. Whilst still maintaining their original sound, their later dated songs have evolved into a unique progressive style in which they continue to build upon. Mustard Harvy's music appeals to all ages from young to old which has helped them gather a very loyal fan base that supports every gig, giving rise to numerous write ups and articles in local newspapers including front page exposure. They have played at some of Melbournes premier venues such as The Espy, The Tote, The Rob Roy, The Evelyn, Pony Bar, The Cornish Arms, The Spot, Spanish Club and a number of PBS fm gigs at the Corner Hotel.
