About Me
SASHA ALEXANDER-VOCALS: Sasha was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.
As a child everybody knew he was a slave to the rhythm.
Always following his dreams, Sasha's band
Naughty Green enjoyed a number two hit in 1989 on RTB
Record, Belgrade's top label. The song
remained in the top ten for seven weeks,
spawning a one-year tour of Yugoslavia.
In 1991, Sasha began his next musical endeavor, a group called Stella Rosa/Strange Behavior, which went on to tour Cape Town and
Johannesburg, South Africa through 1995.
After rocking that country,
Sasha decided to finally hit America. Decision: NEW YORK CITY!
Here, he performs with his bands Yowza, Fourth Floor and Airdogs
in the City's top clubs, paying his bills the only way he sees fit.
Sasha also performs on commercials and voice-overs as
well as freelancing with other independent musicians.
His talents and vast experience landed him the lead vocal
spot in the Matthew Curran Band in February 2002.Likened to such rock greats as Mick Jagger, Axl Rose and Bono,
Sasha is raw sex veiled by an angel's face and a devil's voice.
Sasha moves in a way that makes his audience weep.
He sings cover tunes like "Welcome to the Jungle,"
"Sympathy for the Devil" and "Even Flow" better than the originals.
But Sasha is most expressive when singing his own tunes, some
of which are "Whore of the World," "Champagne," "I Can't Lose
You" and many more, including "In My Head," the title track from YOWZA's newly released CD. Sasha will rock your world and bring you back home spinning. Trust me.YOWZA YOWZA YOWZAJIMI K. During that time, Aaron also recorded and toured stateside and in Japan with Erin Evermore in support of her notorious Mike Chapman-produced album "Love Wounds" featuring the internet hit "Girls Love Sex" while opening for pop tarts Duran Duran. Simultaneously, he worked with producers David Beal, John Eaton, Jason Corsaro, Anthony Esposito, Philipe Seabra, Aaron Comess, Alfredo Scotti and P-Diddy as a session drummer for K5, Daybreak Gentlemen, Trixie Reese, En Esch, Barely Legal, KMFDM, The Tijuana Bibles, The Shrieking Violets and Lucy Woodward.Aaron started his musical career in the thriving 80s punk and new wave scene of San Francisco, drumming for punk luminaries The Dead Kennedys, The Dickies, The Avengers, Primal Scream, Wire Train and The Uptones.
