The Castle Boys! Just the name of the group alone raises the question, "what's Next?" This Legion of Uniqueness was formulated In 2007, In the Historic Burou of Queens, New York. Ray Gatz (MC), Nemesis (MC), & Manny (Singer) came together on the streets of Hollis Avenue, Were Hip Hop is No stranger. But taking a closer look at these 3 talented teens, you come to find that Its The Chemistry that keeps you entrigued, along with a randition of quality Songs.
195 & Hollis Ave. Is the location of "The Castle", the last Building Complex still standing on Hollis Ave.. Its Medeival Architechture & Harsh Reputation became a Home for Jeremi T. Lam A.k.a Nemesis, as well as Emmanuel Rabel or Manny. Just a few small blocks away was Raymond Gatling A.k.a Ray Gatz, from 200th street. So It wasn't by chance on how these 3 met.
Manny started polishing his talents early at the age of 7, singing in his room with his Cousin Roberto. To songs of R&B legends such as, Micheal Jackson and Brian McKnight, R Kelly & others and with Inspirations of that Calibur it wasn't long before his skills matured ? Star quality. With the support of a Single Parent Mom, and two brothers he took off to the world ? exploit his God Given Vocal talents.
Ray Gatz On the other hand, was always engulfed in music with a soul singer for a Mother, but his interest in becoming a rapper came when he was 15. With Nas and Jay in their Prime at the time, and artists like Cassidy tearing up Freestyle Battles, Gatz was discovering the inner beast In himself.
Meanwhile Nemesis was captured by the music realm at the age of 12. Sucomb by the sounds of Rap Legends like Biggie Smalls, Tupac, & Mobb Deep. Which explains why his words are so Mature and strong in his lyrics. Also raised in a single parent home with his 2 brothers, he was determined ? be great. Working On his reputation for being a prime representative for the castle is wasn't long before his buzz covered the hood.
School being a Prominant factor for these young men with nothing less than a 3.2 GPA umungst them, Is where the aliance was founded. Battling upcoming artist from rival schools and random rappers, Gatz & Nemesis became a incredibly hard opposition to face. But there was something missing..... The voice. Once they Teamed up wit young Manny, It was clear what had to be done.
Now with The debut album in the Works, The Castle Boys feel they definately have a statement to make. Demanding Respect by means of an unrelentless work ethic, and backing from The Admenistration. The name "Castle Boys" is soon to be ringing in a ear near you!
