PRESENT: In LA at the moment, finishing up my first EP. Started hosting my monthly radio show "Functional Parts" again on DI.FM. Got some great special guests planned for the next couple months. BIOGRAPHY:
Ray Mack developed a love for Electronic Dance Music at a very early age. He was first introduced into the world of Electronica by music from Cass & Slide, Armand Van Helden, Utah Saints, Prodigy, Brian Eno, Phatboy Slim, Roger Sanchez, and Art of Noise to name a few. From the age of seven through young adulthood, Ray received private lessons in both violin and piano. Ray played in his school orchestras for ten years. In 2002, Ray traveled with the Santa Monica Symphony Orchestra to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall, playing both violin and timpani.
Ray got into turntablism at the age of 17 and learned how to mix Progressive House from fellow DJ Lrcn. As his skills on the decks quickly developed, Ray realized his calling was producing and DJing dance music.
For the past three years, Ray has booked a monthly radio show, "Functional Parts", on Digitally Imported internet radio (www.di.fm). Recently celebrating episode 40, he has hosted a variety of well known guests including; King Unique, Jaytech, Stel, Glenn Morrison, Amine Edge, Roland Klinkenberg, Soha, Fine Taste, Nosmo vs. Kris B., Vorsprung, Blastique, Thee-o and many others. For 2009, Ray has an impressive lineup of top ranked talent booked on his show including; Belocca, Eelke Kleijn, Jaytech, and Ben Brown.
Over the last couple years Ray has opened for several well known dance music acts including; BT, DJ Nosmo, 4Strings, Matt Cerf, Solarstone. Next up, he will be closing for Anthony Papa on the 28th of February, 2009. In 2006 Ray booked a 6-month residency @ Episode in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Ray did a remix of "DJ Remy Feat. Shakeh - I'm Alive", his first release with Boiler House Records in February '08. Now, nearing completion on a 4 track EP, Ray is on the verge of bringing his multiple skills to fruition. Ray Mack has that rare combination of technical mastery, understanding of music theory and a fully developed creative intuition. Ray's natural talent and experience shine in his command of music, from writing and recording to producing and performing as a DJ.

Transferring sound to color.
DISLIKE: Hate. Age-ism. Racism. Pretty much any negative-ism.
GOAL: To spread peace and positivity all over the world through the use of secret dance inducing rhythms.
TIME: Most of my time is dedicated to music. Playing piano, violin, mixing records, beatboxing and guitar. Production, composition and all around song development, tends to captivate my attention. I thrive on knowledge. I'm really into breakdancing and tumbling. I love making art and pursuing all things creative. Books are awesome. Video games.
