Hello! My name is Theda Bara. I was a silent film actress between 1914 and 1926. At the time, I was one of the most popular screen actresses, and I'm one of the earliest sex symbols of Hollywood.
During my career, I popularised the "Vamp" look. It wasn't long before other actresses were trying to imitate the Vamp(none of them could seem to match it).
My career in Hollywood mostly lasted about 4 years. Around the time my era ended, new censoring laws, namely Hays Code, went into affect, and people began to lose interest in my genre and style of films because my films could no longer be shown in the United States, along with that of several other sex symbols.
Unfortunately, most of my films have been forgotten and lost into a bygone era, leaving only a few full prints of my films, and for the rest of the films, only tiny fragments of them are left to this day. If any of you have found the full prints to any of my presumably lost films, please let me know! I'd really like them back!
Here is a list of all the films I have starred in:

A Fool There Was (1915)
