THESIS STATEMENT
Theme/Premise
To illustrate a solitary trip to the beach in the off-season, showing the things I would look at with special emphasis on solitude and recognition of beauty found in obscure places.
Specific Objectives
- To use close up pictures to emphasize trivial objects on the beach that are usually overlooked, such as shells, seagulls, wooden structures, sea foam, and waves breaking.
- To use sunrise and sunset photos to exude a sense of solitude, meditation, and beauty in relation to the beach.
- To digitally manipulate color photographs using Adobe Photoshop by using filters and adjusting the settings.
Methods/Techniques
- Color digital photos taken with a Nikon 5X Optical Zoom digital camera and altered with Adobe Photoshop
- Presentation using MySpace.com
Materials
- Nikon 5X Optical Zoom digital camera, computer with Adobe Photoshop and internet access, CD for the final project
