Band Members: Midnight Peacocks is a collective of musicians from many different styles and backgrounds, brought together by composer, lyricist/vocalist/bass player Eitan Radoshinski in their hometown of Tel Aviv Israel. Together they play music they like to define as "circus-core" – a crossover between hard-core, oriental and cabaret. Midnight Peacocks started performing in October 2004 and has since played around 120 live concerts Including a warm up for MIKE PATTON Last June. The peacocks first album: It’s a Brutal macine (2006), was realesed by Earsay records and officaly helped to establish the guys as the leading band of the israeli-indie scene.The second album by the Band is a concept album named "Shalosh"(Hebrew for Number three). The album contains 3 main parts. The first is a Hard Core Rock EP, The second is an Arabic instrumental & the third is a psychedelic dive. The Album is about to be released this fall (and your'e one of the lucky bastards to hear it first!).Eitan Radoshinski address in his music and lyrics issues such as obsession and fanaticism, which he believe to be at the core of the world's disharmony, in a style soaked with the schizophrenia and jolly Sinicism that come with the territory of life at the geographical point of friction between east and west.The Midnight Peacocks believe that any meeting between musicians on stage and a crowd is unique and can only be the same once. For that reason they try to bring a different experience in each and every live show rather than duplicating a show in front of different crowds. This idea is kept by playing more or less the same materials, but with different musicians, instruments and vibes on every live show, giving constant new meanings to the recorded album. Midnight Peacocks played their music in many different locations ranging from an enchant cave in Jerusalem, were they played with 12 musicians on stage including violins, Darbuka drums, saxophone, and a performance artist, to clubs in Berlin were they performed with just bass & drums, and possibly almost any combination in between.Best of 2006 - Top 25 Indie CDs. An Israeli music collective records a CD in Berlin -- the irony! The opening track features a story of a tranny prostitute -- the outrageousness! Gentle readers, this Israeli band is, to paraphrase the film title, nothing less than the madness of King David. Or, put another way, it's like GWAR went to Gaza.From a production-quality perspective, the CD is flawless. I've heard more Berlin-recorded albums than I could shake a stick at (does everyone want to be Lou Reed?) and most of the blow, but this one is clear and sharp as a Katusha rocket blast. And with all the layers of this music, that's saying something. Eitan Radoshinski (say that three times fast) is the ringleader of the Peacock music collective and he describes their music as "circus core" -- a combination of hard-core, oriental and cabaret (one more Berlin reference!).
