I think a lot, but not always about what I'm currently doing. I have a lot of friends and I'm always looking to make more. Many things inspire me. Music inspires me the most. I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of all things related to art and culture. I'm nerd, but I can hold a conversation outside of my obsession (thanks Brian Posehn). I'm an independent, do-it-yourself type of musician, who has a 9 to 5 office job.I can be very opinionated. But I'll always give new ideas or new music a chance.Making music is a top priority with me, so I try to do it as much as possible. My current and old projects are listed in my top friends list.National Sunday Law is my current band. We are always writing new music and playing shows. Check out this awesome review of a recent show:
National Sunday Law
LA Record Review - Issue 22
by Tiina Teal
Friday, June 29 – Pehrspace/Echo Park: Unframed art absorbing the vibrations and sweat of the nubile underground. Stubbly young facial hair trying to peek up the striped mini-skirted girlies slinking around in their slouched boots. Within this musky setting, the two-piece National Sunday Law brought the faces on the walls to life using their meaty, psychedelic, bad assery of sounds. I didn’t know what to think – seeing the drummer set up his little kit with one mounted tom, one floor tom, two cymbals, a snare and a bass drum I was not expecting too much. This man EXPLODED on the opening note. A bearded powerhouse, he worked that kit like he was a junior high school nerd turned Ron Jeremy at the Playboy Mansion’s housewarming party. And the guitarist…creating spacey drones that could switch abruptly to abrasive & unpredictable rawk grandiosity….my want list was complete. Metal, melody, thrash, weirdness, melancholy, interplanetary and ethereal beauty were all seemlessly bound together sometimes within the same song. Gloriousness would erupt from the spheres and wrench you out of your little box of existence - pummelling you with brutality only to softly caress you back into a gentle interlude of cloudy bliss. I kept having visions of Sigur Ros making out with Neurosis as a slightly more evil Cocteau Twins looks on while King Buzzo tries to brush out his hair. Headbang all of it thoroughly with a weirder but working-class prog vibe and you’re left spent in a doomy, warm afterglow. Mmm. (tt)
You scored as David Gilmour. You are David Gilmour! You're usually responsible for the sound of a song, but occasionally you write your own and it sounds perfect.
