He says that he was first influenced by Bounty Killer, because of his positive messages to the ghetto youth. He is part of the “Alliance” and collaborates with Bounty Killer and has released a tune with him, “Don’t You Wish Your Man Was Good Like Me”.Roosvelt Jason Stennett, Action Man, was given his stage name by a girl called Steamer who said that he was always so full of action while performing on stage. Beginning in 1998 he was called Action Man. Prior to that time he was known as Daddy Slice.He was born in the community of Birkshire in the parish of Westmoreland, Jamaica. He celebrates his birthday on the first day of November and began his academic career at the Birkshire Basic School and ended it at the Dundee All-Age School.Action Man always wanted to become an entertainer while his other classmates wanted to become doctors, lawyers and teachers. He did, however, learn the mason trade as a means of sustaining his livelihood while pursuing his dreams of becoming a deejay. His father is a well-known singer from Montego Bay and is known by the name of Jah Love. He also has a brother from St. James who is a singer named Mad Prince.He has appeared on a number of shows since his career began in 1996. The show he best remembers was in 2007 at Reggae Sumfest where he performed with Bounty Killer.Action Man has also performed at Pier One and Club Inferno in Montego Bay, as well as a number of other venues around the island of Jamaica and has appeared with other artists such as Bounty Killer, Yogi, Warrior King, Glen Hammond, Gabriel, Lime Murray, Fire Lion, Singing Melody, Mr. Peppa, Beenie Man, Fantom Mosher, Noddy Virtue, and Spraga Benz.Action Man currently lives in Maine in the United States and has more recently appeared onstage in Boston & Hyannis , Massachusetts, Portland, Maine and New York City. He has several other shows scheduled in the United States for the summer of 2009.He entered TVJ 's Reggae Chill Talent Contest, hosted by well-known TV and radio personality, Suzie Q, and made it to the finals representing St. James. Film clips from the competition were seen repeatedly throughout Jamaica, New York City, London, Miami, and Toronto.Action Man has recently voiced his new tune, "Wata From De Vine" which is currently getting airplay across the Island of Jamaica and abroad. His video, "Leggo De Youth Dem" which contains film clips of the Reggae Chill Talent Show competitions in which Action Man participated can be seen on video music channels throughout Jamaica, the U.S., Canada and England.Action Man has recorded several more tunes and is currently working on an album which he hopes will be on the road by the beginning of 2010. He is confident that with the release of this album it will bring about significant changes in his musical career.
