Founded in 2004 with the band we self-named "The Corduroys"...Playing music like psychedelic rock, 60s and lagu orang kahwin. And together with side Band Bawah Block called the "Catharsis Chillers", playing simple accoustic songs by Scorpions, deep purple, eagles etc etc.. But as time pass by, we moved on evolving our music into much heavy yet simple as it is before. So we dropped the whole idea of 60s and scrotum loose music and start to refer and research on Nirvana's music...We played and The first songs back in late 2005 were "Dustmite" a song about staying home, "Alien/Necrophilia" a song about being different and ugly and "Ungs"a song about cigarette. Ian Squirrel was on Drums, Berd/Berg was on guitar, Fie/Dope doing vocal and Rudy was on the bass guitar. The Name Son Of The Bleach was Born, during that moment we were chilling at Long John Silver's thinking of what Name should we called ourselves, and that point of time Berd was wearing his Bleached Black Levis jeans. Ian started to draw a stick dude with four strand of hair on a piece of paper which look like a son (hahah wtf). Soon we were proud to be bleachies and the song "Oldschool Dinosaur" a song about a child being abuse by media and$ and "Feed the Fat" a song about why fat people should never stop eating, were created. We got into few cheap ass gigs and met several contacts, people and bands with the same interest as us. Met Oligarchy, Dolltrash and Muddybanks.
Unfortunately, Rudy somehow left the band in late 2006 due to National Service and lost his interest in SOTB. We recruited Yan Panjang(tall) for the bass and soon exchange position with Ian Squirrel with the Bass and Yan Panjang on the Drums. Soon songs like "Walk You" (Original Song title Jalan Kaki, sung in Malay by Rudy and The Catharsis Chillers) "Baked Bean" a song about baked bean and "Mozzie Attack" a song which Dope thought it would be a good idea to send a massage regarding wiping out Dengue. But soon in 2007 it was Berd's turn to be called for National Service. SOTB was at its peak of shutting down because there were no commitments and interest in most of us at that period of time. Ian Squirrel left the band together with Berd's departure. Our Recording session had been canceled and songs were left unrecorded during that time
But miracle happened in early 2008 when Dope and Yan Panjang decided that SOTB had to go on. We recruited Lan from the band called The Smudge which disbanded due to the same reason as SOTB during 2007. Songs like "Joey is A Fat boy" a song about a fat Chinese dude, and several Untitled Songs were produced. From that period of time onwards, we felt that we were back on track and hopefully to get our songs recorded in EP.
