About Me

Though Julian Demkier (dem-cure) is a single name, Julian Demkier is actually quite more than a single artist's imagination and ability. Julian Demkier is comprised of Trevor J. Brown (23) and many of his beautiful and talented friends.
In March 2009, Brown left his band Routine Skyline in hopes of crafting better, more complete songs and albums. By June 2009, Brown had just released what would be his final release as The Tourist!/?, an EP called "I AM THE DRIVER." While The Tourist!/?, Brown released two albums and three EP's, but all lacked professional quality and showmanship, much like previous band Routine Skyline. By September, Brown got back to his "bread and butter" as he would call it, the piano. By crafting and writing songs using his favorite instrument, he got back to more of what represented him as an artist and individual. Five new songs were penned in September, and all were recorded the following month at Ted's Place in Edina, MN. Ted Jedlicki (Dynamite Flight) produced and engineered the first sessions, and also played guitar and drums on a couple of the tracks. The "October Sessions" resulted in the songs Traded for Prospects 1986, Cigarette Kisses, The Lighthouse, Pioneers of Love and an as-yet-untitled introduction. The songs were all mixed at Autumn's Frost Studios in Zimmerman, MN. More studio sessions are in the works for early 2010. As for now, Brown continues to write and demo new songs.
Though live Trevor will mainly play these new songs alone, Julian Demkier is a collaberative musical adventure featuring the help of friends, who just happen to be brilliant songwriters, singers and instrument players. As for now, no release date has been given for the debut album from Julian Demkier, but you can expect it sometime in 2010.
