For over a Decade, Louie Linguini has been Mr. Saturday Nite to Thousands of Radio Listeners throughout The Twin States, where The Saturday Nite Regrind remains as The Twin States ..1 Rated Party Show!Many have asked, How Did the Show Get Its Start? Louie explains, The Show actually evolved from the old Heart n Soul Saturday Nite Show, on the now defunct Z102, at the equally defunct Landing Restaurant/Bar. (Editors Note: The Landing is now The Olive Garden on McFarland Blvd.) In fact, adds Louie, To this day, if I walk into the Olive Garden, I mysteriously break into THE ELECTRIC SLIDE, which really pisses off the folks who are trying to enjoy their Fettuccini Alfredo!!!When the Landing shut down, the show subsequently moved to Bob Baumhowers Bama Beach Club where it enjoyed even further popularity. (Editors Note: Bob Baumhower a True Legend in Alabama Football, who went on to achieve Pro Success with The Miami Dolphins.) Says Louie, It was pretty common for us to pack in 1,000 people on any given Saturday Night. It was totally INSANE, Every Saturday Night! In fact, there were some Saturday Nights where I dont remember much of the show, nor do I remember how I got HOME! When the Bama Beach Club (by then renamed The Varsity Musical Hall) closed its doors in early 98, Louie began broadcasting the show from its current location; the friendly confines of the 94one ZBQ Studios. As Louie puts in perspective, We had a GREAT run!!!! For over 3 years EVERY Saturday Night at The Bama Beach Club, and for over 2 years every Saturday Night at The Landing, we Worked, Played, and PARTIED Hard!!!! I wouldnt trade it for ANYTHING, but these days I really enjoy doing The Regrind back in the studio with my dogs ALEX and EDDIE, and my cat, WHOOPASS, knowing full well, that there are THOUSANDS of people listening PARTYING HARD, GETTING CRAZY, and STRIPPING NAKED to my show!!!Another question Louie often gets asked is, How Do You Choose the Music on the Saturday Nite Regrind? Louies answer is simple, Ive DJd well over a THOUSAND gigs in my career. ALL the music you hear on the Saturday Regrind is DANCE FLOOR friendly. You dont need any other DJ on Saturday Nights!
